STRIVE - Support, Train, Resource & Inspire Volunteer Experience

The STRIVE Program supports our most important asset, our volunteers, to excel in both their personal & community experience.

The STRIVE Program is our long term commitment to ensuring LDAG membership continue to feel confident & proactive in their response to alcohol and other drug issues in their community.

How will LDAG members benefit from STRIVE?
  • Strong Leadership & Vision;
  • Increased training opportunities for our membership;
  • Development of and access to relevant resources; and
  • Increased access to LDAG Inc.
Grants structure summary

Ten rounds of STRIVE Grants for the 2010 - 2011 financial year are available.

Applications for the new 2009-2010 financial year are now open. Please note that branches are invited to submit both STRIVE project applications and STRIVE merchandise only applications.

Please download the new guidelines, dates and application package for your 2010 - 2011 STRIVE application. Please contact the executive office to discuss your application. To assist you in writing your application please refer to the 12 principles of drug education brochure, which is available online: Principles of School Drug Education

STRIVE Round 2 applications are now closed. STRIVE Round 3 applications close Thursday 16th September 2010. Please make sure you have allowed at least 8 weeks from the review date to the project start date. To work out which Round you should submit your project in, please refer to the STRIVE Dates (including project start date) to assist you in planning your application, which is available online.

Branches are able to apply for funding from the following categories; 'Youth', 'Family' and 'Community';

The limit per grant is $3,000

Branches can apply for funding more than once. Those branches applying for the first time are given priority over branches that have already been granted funding in a previous round. Branches applying for funding from a different category are given priority over groups applying for funding from the same category more than once;

Applications are reviewed by a subcommittee consisting of LDAG Inc Board Members & independent external representatives;

Groups are advised of project funding by the Executive Officer, and Project Outcomes and photos are distributed through the ‘Hands On’ Newsletter and on our website.
